Once a pad has had a considerable amount of use rinse it under water to amp up stickiness again. Enclosed in the metal box are 4 pads; 2 double round gels and 2 waffles. The double round pairs nicely with the snare for an adjustable damping effect while the waffle compliments toms and floor toms particularly well with its "damping chambers." performer pads are a must when recording to control drum tone but they are also handy when performing live or jamming casually.
